A New Direction for Pawtucket

The last time Pawtucket had a new mayor, my 14-year-old daughter wasn’t born. Now, the hospital where she was born is closed. The baseball team we all rooted for is in Worcester. And the Mr. Potato Head statue we measured the kids height against is likely next, because Hasbro’s fate in our city is uncertain.

For too long Pawtucket has not had a vision for where we want to go, for who we want to be. So much has changed in the world over the last 15 years, but city leadership has not. But instead of focusing on the past, I believe we need to focus on the future. It’s time for a fresh start. For new energy and new ideas that will make our city even greater.

When I look into the future I see a city that works for all of its citizens. A city with not just a thriving downtown, but thriving businesses in every neighborhood. A city where firefighters, police officers, and teachers can afford to buy a home. A city that prepares every student in the school system for a college or career that is right for them and helps to move our city forward. A city where government is accessible to all citizens, where you can report a pothole on your phone and see when it will be filled.

As Mayor I would focus on the big and the small to make quality of life better for everyone. And I would put all of the relationships I have built in my career to work on behalf of the people of Pawtucket.

Meet Adam

My wife Erin and I moved to Pawtucket in 2009 because we saw the incredible potential of the city as a place to raise our family.

COMMITMENT TO PUBLIC SERVICE

We met when we started our careers as public school teachers. Since then, I've been a nonprofit executive, first at United Way, and for the last eight years as President and CEO of the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

As a CEO I developed the skills needed to be Mayor of this great city, skills like: bringing people and groups together to do big things, working with limited financial resources, and managing large groups of people.

LOVE FOR PAWTUCKET

Serving Pawtucket is something both Erin and I believe in. For the last ten years, I've volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club, and Erin served on the Pawtucket School Committee for a decade. For the last year, I've also served on the City Planning Commission. Service is a value we have worked to instill in our children, both of whom attend Pawtucket Public Schools.
